Never Freeze Dried

Probioform is different. Most other probiotics are sold as powders or capsules because they are cheap to produce and easy to transport. However, freeze-drying removes all water and places the organisms in a delicate spore-like state that can damage fragile cell walls. Once ingested, only a small percentage survive the stomach acid.

Most conventional probiotics supply just 3-12 strains which are cultured separately and combined post-production, leaving them isolated and vulnerable to digestive conditions. Manufacturers choose to exclude many enviromental strains of microorganism because they do not survive freeze-drying in any meaningful quantities.
